Summary: Meet Withiel, cynical city elf with a wide stripe of darkness on her soul; letting someone near enough to touch her is a feat all by itself, and the only one who could do it would be another elf, of course.

This begins the "remastered" version of Making Our Own Destiny; same story, told better, clarified, and added to.  Hope you enjoy.

We've been open for a week, and I thought I'd post and share some stats that are just making me-- okay, I'll be honest. They're making me gape. Every time I have noticed one of these I have gone :o because you all are turning this into so much more than I'd even wanted to hope for!

• 50 subscribers, most of whom appear to have been directed here by scarylady, our one-woman People of Thedas Auxiliary Club.
• 17 intro posts. Thanks to lenna_nightrunner and elysium_fic for starting this trend.

Conclusion!

So I'm sitting here, sipping my coffee, analyzing this data, and coming to a conclusion:

WE ARE RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME.

And because we are ridiculously awesome, I declare the next few days to be Zevran Love Days! There's already a lot of Zev-love here, but if you've been meaning to post art, prompts, or fic that is Zev-related, let this be your cue to do so.

Caveat: We're the People of Thedas. You can post stuff even if it's NOT Zev-related, but if you want to participate in the Antivan Love-In, have at it. :D

Since it is Zevran day, and just coincidentally I did a one-shot for BSN with Zevran, Anders, and Alistair, I figured that was a sign I should post it.  I tossed it up on ffnet late last night so if you read my stuff there you've probably already seen it.

Like all my stuff, it's set in the Apostates of Amaranthine universe (and hey, can I get one of those nifty series tags for that?), but you shouldn't have trouble following if you're not a regular reader.  Just figure this is set a couple years after Awakening, the barely-present Warden is a f!Amell, and *handwave*handwave* f!Cousland survived Howe's attack anyways.

Scary Lady directed me here, thank you! I bring many fics. Because there are MANY I shall link to my ff page rather than linking them separately here.

I started off being Alistair centric but ended up expanding into Anders love. I have three separate universes - Beginnings, Losses, Of Wardens and Mages, Fractures, Consequences and nearly all of my one shots are in one universe, which is based on a FemCousland playthrough (Miranda). Caged is another, which is based on an Alim Surana playthrough (although Miranda Cousland is there). And Shades of Grey is based on an evil Aedan Cousland playthrough. They are all

If it's Zevran-time around here I figure I may as well go ahead and do a fanfic post since I haven't yet. XD I know some of you are familiar with my stuff, but I may as well toss it up here anyway~

So, when I'm not drawing Zevran's fantastic buttcheeks, I write. I have both a het series and a slash series in this fandom, and I write two different Wardens who are recurring OCs of mine. Fun fact: in all other versions of these characters they're half-siblings, with Alley 10-14 years older than Tannu. And in all other versions, she raised him. Good times!

The Dragon Age versions exist in alternative universes to one another, though, and so there is no relation. (Still, Zev is a pretty smooth criminal for bagging both siblings, different universes or not! XD)


Immovable Object - [ AO3 ] | [ FFnet ] - Zevran/f!Tabris
What happens when an irresistible force meets an immovable object? - The Warden is not a pretty girl. What she is, is physically disabled and just a bit screwed up in the head. Zevran tries to find solid footing in the chaos, but with how much success?

This is the one Alleyana is in, but I burned out on writing girls for a little while. And burned out badly on writing anything in-order, which IO wasn't supposed to be in originally but I kind of got suckered into doing anyway. I'm sort of paused while trying to figure out what the hell to do about that.


Silver and Scarlet - [ AO3 ] | [ LJ ] - Zevran/m!Surana - [ WARNING: explicit content * ]
An adult romance told in snapshots via the Dragon Age Anonymous Kink Meme.

And this is the one Tannusen (tannufilling) is in. Most of it is smut, because it's done via fills for the DA kink meme, and Tannusen pairs off with a lot of characters besides Zev -- Ser Bryant, Greagoir, Taliesen, Uldred, and even Alistair as of this posting -- but the over-all story is Zevran/Tannusen. Tannusen is in love with someone else, but it's unrequited, and he doesn't yet realize that he and Zev are sort of stumbling into each other's hearts.

Much like Immovable Object's original intent, Silver and Scarlet is written out of order.

* = S&S is about 90% smut and ranges from scary mind-control dubious consent to safeword-secured BDSM (okay, a lot of that) and right on down to fluffy hurt/comfort. I post the prompt on each fill even on AO3, in the notes up at the top, so you'll have an idea what you're getting into before you start reading any of it.

I'd love to post some good Zev lovin' in honor, but I'm trying to get Trovommi Amore (the Zev/Taniva fic) into order - and far enough ahead to give me a good NaNoWriMo cushion - and sadly, they are in a pre-sex state right now.  (And can't get past it, because the bugger doesn't want to talk to me about anything but anal right now....)

So here's what I'm gonna do.  Comment with a request, and I will do a flashfic on it.  Generic DA universe or one of mine if you like - if it's the latter, I reserve the right to declare it either AU or canon afterward depending on how it turns out, which means don't be afraid to ask for something that would Never Work in the Real Story.  :3
