Spoilers: For Dwarf Noble Origin and the quest "Alistair's Family"
Notes: Another missing scene fic, although this is more of an expansion/redirect of a scene we do see in canon. I tend to play the Warden as a fairly selfless paladin type who makes a point of doing whatever they can to help people. As a result, I find the line of dialogue the Warden has to speak to "harden" Alistair rather out of character. This is one attempt to reconcile the contradiction.

In unrelated news, I seem to be contemplating a Dragon Age/Final Fantasy XII crossover. Great idea, or greatest idea? (Or completely ridiculous crackfic idea?) (Or all of the above?)

Characters: Alistair, Sereda Aeducan. Alistair/f!Aeducan implications.
Spoilers: Minor, for "Broken Circle", the Dwarf Noble origin, and Alistair's backstory.
Summary: After the events in the Circle Tower, Alistair is haunted by the road not taken; Sereda has a few ghosts of her own.

I seem to be in that phase of exploring a fandom where I'm beset by tidbits of conversation that we never saw; I have at least half a dozen of these in various stages of progress. Some of them may pull together into longer stories, but this one seemed to stand alone as a short, so here it is!

I really like the possibilities of Alistair/Aeducan -- two royals in exile, but for very different reasons, and with maybe-conflicting perspectives as a result. I wish I saw them written together more often.
