So over in the Fade Bar RP, Kathil Amell and solitae's Lilian Hawke have been having a…Thing. For months. And they're not even getting close to stopping. (And at this point, they're mostly no longer denying that it's a Thing, which for them is a step forward!)

These are thirteen moments from their relationship, tiny little glimpses into who they are to one another. And like the girls themselves, everything is written between the lines…

An AU of an AU? What madness is this?

This was originally posted on the LJ community circle_tower last year, and I just remembered that it exists. So I decided to post here, just in case anyone felt like a shot of depression to make their Monday morning complete.

This is a what-if that starts in Chapter Three of Waking Hours. What would have happened, if Kathil had been just a little later getting back from the Fade, and Greagoir had taken a little more care with his sword?

Warning: depressing. Very, very depressing. Also, if you haven’t read the Old Roads series, it won’t make much sense.

Title: In Another Lifetime

Summary: A Grey Warden returns to the Tower, and everything goes very, very wrong.

So, over on FS, my Kathil Amell and solitae's Lilian Hawke have discovered that they have a number of things in common, including liking each other. Liking each other a lot. They have been cheerfully snogging and having off-screen adventures for the last little while.

And, of course, Kathil's Cullen and Zev have been regaled with tales of this pigtailed woman. One night, I decided to haul my Cullen into IRC and let him meet another version of himself, and let everyone meet him and their daughter Cerys. It went rather smashingly, all told, but it was that point that Cullen realized that Kathil hadn't been having just a series of really neat dreams.

And thus, there was a Discussion. *grins* I've been threatening to write this for a while, but I finally finished it.

Old Roads

Author's Note: This is the Canticle I've been using as for epigraphs on Pitiless Games, put together in order. This and my story "But A Sword" more or less are the foundations of the AU-ness of the Old Roads version of Thedas. And I *think* this is the last of the Old Roads-related flotsam I'm going to post. :)

"I think letting them fall over is traditional," he pointed out. The mage was carefully pouring foul liquid from an iron pot into the Joining cup. It moved restlessly, seemingly on its own. "I mean, they let me fall over, and I think we let you collapse as well."

"Yes, and I woke up with a headache that had nothing to do with the ritual and everything to do with the fact that my head hit the ground when I passed out." She grimaced, and looked sidelong at him. "Or was that a ritual lump on the back of the head and double vision I had when I woke up?"

"Had to make sure your head was hard enough to withstand being a Grey Warden." He waggled his eyebrows at her. "Or did you not notice that we both spent a lot of time being hit on the head during the war?"

"That was you. I mostly got stabbed. Or on really good days, lifted into the air and gnawed on by ogres." She frowned into the Joining cup. "Somehow, I remember this cup being bigger."

"You screamed like a little girl."
