Killing dragons? Wandering the irradiated wasteland? Saving humanity by way of colored explosions?
We're deep into that lull between games and it's no secret that things have gotten quiet around here. I know a lot of us have been branching out. So... share. What have you been up to? Fic in any new fandoms? Working on any OPs you want to talk about? Let's chat!

Besides that, I'm getting my son ready for kindergarten and just waiting for the agonizingly slow trick of news about DA3 to start flowing a little faster!

I really have no idea where they'll be going with the series. The way they so hastily abandoned DA2 and got raked over the coals for ME3 makes me wonder if we'll see something more RPG and less action-y, like the earlier games in both franchises.
ME FIRST! I'LL GO FIRST!
I did a brief branch out into Skyrim and Mass Effect as well, but they didn't grab me the way DA or Avengers did so...
I'm RPing on Tumblr as, of all things, Captain America (because that makes sense, me being Australian and all) and Loki.
I'm fleshing out my original fiction, replacing things and changing characters and wishing I hadn't started it in present tense.
THAT'S ME. WHAT IS EVERYONE ELSE DOING?
Re: ME FIRST! I'LL GO FIRST!
I think that's why I like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. I know their lore better than I know US History. (that is a joke... although not by much. Really, not by much. It's tragic.)
Re: ME FIRST! I'LL GO FIRST!
The Summer of my Legionary Terrorist
I’ve got an outline for a Skyrim/Morrowind crossover fic I haven’t done much with yet. I’ve been working on my novel which I will never, ever finish.
Mostly I’ve got a Fallout: New Vegas fic I am kind of consumed by at the moment. It is f!Courier/Vulpes Inculta postgame story. (Set about four years after siding with the NCR)
Because I Have Issues.
Really, it's because I wanted to take an “evil” character and show them from their own side of things, where they aren't the monster of the story. Where they're actually the hero. And I wanted to write a main character that is... less than nice. Not evil, per se, but definitely on the dark and pragmatic end of the scale.
It's an interesting change. The fic has been very well received, to my surprise, since pro-Legion fic isn't exactly common (and what little there is tends to be non/dubcon stuff). I will admit, I miss the piles of reviews I get from the Dragon Age fandom, but it seems like Fallout fans just aren't as vocal. It's also the first fic I have where the entire story is outlined, start to end.
Should you be interested in such things, it can be found here.

My DA works languishes unfinished.

The evil guilds are always so much more FUN in ES games.

Been replaying it a lot lately when I'm not working on my Dragon Age Big Bang fic
WHY OH WHY DID I SIGN UP?no subject
We have eight stories running, Fiercely Cold is at 44 chapters, and over 500,000 words and counting. Then there's Dream a Little Dream of Me which is an AU of the main story. Which actually has...more AUs, all with a metastory. Sooo...yes. Very busy.
I'm still trying to work on Guilded, Murder, CoSA, as well as my two Hellboy fics, but the metaverse calls.

I can't beta English grammar, it's my third language, but I can note weird things if you want and I see them...

I'm still working on my two long Nathaniel/Anders fics, Unseen Forces and Secret Desires, but since the pairing doesn't seem to be that popular around dreamwidth I haven't posted any of the new chapters here in quite a while (though you can find both on AO3, and Unseen Forces is also still on ffnet). I'm an extremely slow writer anyway, and a huge amount of health problems over the last several months has slowed my writing down even further. It's a good day when I can manage to get 500 words down.
Other than that, I've spent many, many hours playing Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, and Final Fantasy XIII-2, and I'm doing a new Origins playthrough with my Cousland from Unseen Forces.

I'm still around. Obvs I'm still writing Fishes, which is nearly done now. This is still the only fandom I'm involved with, even as minimal as it is now. I'm trying to finish Fishes because I'm intending to turn both it and Wings into actual novels that will stand alone, outside of Dragon Age. Fishes will be harder to convert than Wings, but I've already begun work on making my own "game" for Lily to get sucked into that will be titled "Phoenix Rising".
A lot of the tropes used for Dragon Age are very universal: knight in shining armour, shady assassin, personal sacrifice, dragons and mages, elves and dwarves, slavery and corrupt governments... *shrugs* Not too hard to translate that framework into a completely different story that will still work just fine as a backdrop for the story I've told. My real struggle right now is trying to figure out if I want to leave Wings and Fishes linked.
Now that my kids are out of school, I have less time for writing, but my goal is to get this done by the end of the summer (as a fic), so I can get to work on it as a novel.
From here, as far as the fandom goes, after Fishes, I intend to pick up Finnariel from The Road Not Travelled, Liddy and Junar from Second Chances, and actually turn that into a full-blown story instead of the piecemeal purgatory that it's currently languishing in.
I haven't actually picked up any games. I just recently actually played through (for the first time) the entire game of Awakening, and did Leliana's Song and Witch Hunt. I've had them downloaded since they came out, and never played them. >.< (I know, I know, bad fangirl, no biscuit. But they didn't have Zev in them. For the longest time, I was just like, MEH if it didn't involve him somehow... >.>) I still cannot bring myself to play Darkspawn Chronicles though.
Next plan for games is to do the Lily playthrough, and finally pop the achievement for Ultimate Sacrifice. It's true... Lily was never canon. Only Finn and Withiel were. I've also got a mage named Niamh, now, but I don't think she'll have her own story. I've been thinking about making Junar as a Mahariel, but since he's actually paired with Maren, I dunno. I could see his head turning for Lels, but then he'd be turned off by her nutty streak.
(Why no, I haven't been giving this too much thought, why do you ask?)
I made Triss Mahariel with the express intention of getting the achievement for Morrigan, but she's just so... *shudder* I couldn't do it. (Sorry Triss...)
I've started the process of migrating off of ff.net, since their little "social justice" porn-police bitches got rabid and started gutting the place. I'm not interested in getting a bunch of hate-mail, so if that ever happens, I'm still around in other places. I'm keeping my archive here, and then I'm also at AO3 and now I'm working on a tumblr. I have posted everything except Wings and Fishes there, because people subscribed to me before I got the whole archive up, and I don't know how to do a 'cut', there. And uh, since my chapters tend to hover around 10k, posting them without a cut is just... mean. :p
Anyway, even though I've gone super-quiet, I'm still around. I'm looking forward to when I can finally come up for air on Fishes and look around, start reading some of the things I've missed. I never finished Shimmy and Lenna's Vir Lath Sa'Vunin, which I would really love to do, and a lot of other fics have come out that I just... Yeah. I miss the community, but every time I try to do something else, I get derailed off Fish and end up having a writing lull that is hard to struggle out of. I paused to help someone else with their fic for just a couple of days, and ended up not being able to write more than about 500 words on Fish for three months. *headdesk*
So that's me... I'm horrible at keeping in touch (Just ask my friends, srsly... I'm awful.) but I'm still here, and I respond to my emails and stuff (usually). I always read everything, anyway, and if you ask me a question, I answer.
So... hi guys! *waves madly* Still alive over here. :D
ETA: Oh yeah! And I'm also writing rp with TCMcgee and Demonsaya on IRC sometimes (though it's been a while, since rl keeps interrupting things). I've got rp blogs for those characters (yet another version of Lily and a hacker named Stalker), and the story as it unfolds there actually has helped me a bit with Fishes, because it gives me the opportunity to explore Lily from yet another angle: what if there never had been a Dragon Age game, but she got sucked into that reality anyway? Bahahaha complicated shit. Lily is such a broken girl, sometimes.

Not doing as much role playing as I'd like either.
Playing: thanks to the Steam Summer Sale
Witcher & Witcher 2 (after I'm done with the first), Diablo 3, Thief Series (not getting far interface is clunky) and when I can't handle a story, Coconut Queen and Ranch Rush. :)
As the lovely Smut Princess says, we've been working hard on the Ferox Series...yes it's a series, um 6 individual parts?, with an all encompassing overarching story. And yes, Beta needed, wanted and loved and we would gladly trade work for someone who needs the same.
xo folks I'm back to coloring on maps...Yes, I have a new job too :D

Also, the Thief series is one of my favorite game franchises, if you want any mod recommendations to make it a little more user friendly in the modern age let me know. The Dark Engine (the engine used by the first two Thief games as well as System Shock) is a real bitch and a half to get running smoothly on a modern multicore processor, and it requires a bit of tweaking so the cutscenes will run properly. (also, fun fact... Stephen Russell, voice of Garrett, is Mercer Frey in Skyrim. As well as a few other characters, but that was the one that tickled me the most.)
The Steam version may be a little more user friendly, but I found the GOG version wasn't 100% playable on 64 bit Win 7 without a bit of finessing.

It's mainly because I'm not writing fanfic much anymore - just the occasional drabble for Mass Effect (some of which are with my favourite dorky dudeShep that I started writing fic with from the beginning, so that's... nice, and kinda nostalgic).
TBH, the quietness, some of the happenings in the communities - not sure I could give a specific example - and changing attitudes, as well as personal happenings, have made me distance myself from fandom quite a lot. Wish it weren't so, but there we go.
Mostly working on original projects, such as odd, noir/sci-fantasy pieces, and working on some short-form stuff for a competition/possible publication.

I think about it, but... my life had changed. A lot. I think this is a time for experiencing, so that the next round of writing can reflect new knowledge.
That's my excuse anyway.
I mong out on games sometimes - mainly Star Wars:Old Republic or Diablo III.
I do miss you guys. I stay in touch with bellaknoti and darkrose (anyone else who misses me, please do pm!). I'll definitely be back with a bounce when DA3 surfaces.
Oh, and darkrose and I have talked and we are hoping to write a big chunk of Aedan/Julian non-porn plot fic for the Big Bang.

I still am writing two DA series: A Red Promise and Twilight in Thedas. Between working 40-50 hours a
week and taking care of 2 small kids, I don't have a lot of time to write, so it's a slow process. I don't post them here because there didn't seem to be much interest, but they can be found on FF and AO3.

I've been doing rather a lot of cosplay and some art this summer, as people who follow me on deviantart or tumblr may have seen, but I've been having a lot of trouble writing anything lately.
I still signed up for the Big Bang, though, because I've had a post-DA2 fic about Finn & Dagna that I've had outlined for ages and I'm hoping this motivates me to write it. I'm not sure I can find my voice in time though :|

Ohai!
I'm keeping myself busy by slowly but surely typing up a Babylon 5 fanfic that I wrote and finished ages ago (and, surprisingly enough, there are people who actually read it), and I'm writing something Wraith-centric for the Stargate: Atlantis fandom. Little Goth me writing about Wraith? It was only a matter of time... I'd draw Wraithy stuff too, but at the moment my tablet is all wonky and I can't.
I'm not all that excited about DA3 - since they already announced that they'll keep the voiced protagonist and the Wheel of WTF. Both are my main gripes with the second one. I like making up my own character, and a voiced protagonist and a dialogue wheel prevent me from doing that. So I don't think I'll be playing it.
Re: Ohai!
And oh my, the Wraith? O RLY? *cackling as she waves from Ansbach*

I uh. Haven't been on Dreamwidth much as of late *hasn't updated in a YEAR* Tumblr and Twitter have devoured my attention span as far as social networking, between art and RP.
I've been sucked into the Mass Effect fandom pretty hard, and as is my usual habit, I love the villains/antagonists the most. (Playing a Cerberus Phantom and a Reaper has devoured me)
Been writing fic for my Shepard, collaborating a constant in-progress piece with my rp partner, and art has resulted from it.
Personal life is... a mess, and I'm sorting through it. But hopefully once I finish my schooling in the upcoming spring, I'll be working for LabCorps or LifeSouth as a phlebotomist.
Other than that, there really isn't much to say. =X

Now that I've finished my DA2 stories I plan to see if I can finish up some long-standing WIPs in other fandoms before Yuletide and various bingo challenges hit (I grabbed cards for Kink, H/C and Fluff ... which pretty much covers everything :p).

Hopefully I will got the chance to finished all the fests art and start on my other fandom projects...one include the Fade Bar....@_@;;;

I am really, really excited for DA3, though. :D

However! I am poking at Bereskarn because I've been playing more DAO recently. We shall see what comes of that.
I've also got a WIP that I'm calling "2mages" because, well, what else do you call the one where a healertype Amell and the Bear Warden get recruited together?
back again
(and yes, still writing...damn that Ferox!)

I'm assuming I'll play DA3, but I can't say I'm looking forward to it. I was not a happy camper with the way DA2 got completely dropped leaving me feel like I had no resolution for a character who meant a fair amount to me.
