We're deep into that lull between games and it's no secret that things have gotten quiet around here.  I know a lot of us have been branching out.  So... share.  What have you been up to?   Fic in any new fandoms?  Working on any OPs you want to talk about?  Let's chat!

As far as I know, we haven't been targeted yet, but it's their sworn mission to purge the entire site of anything considered "pornographic" by their very stringent standards (which don't necessarily match ours, of course). The site is big, so they've got their hands full, but from what I understand, they've got a spider algorithm that crawls the site looking for fics that fall under their "unacceptable" umbrella, and alerts them. Last time I looked, they had to actually manually enter the fandom category before it would be able to do anything, but all that says to me is they haven't got to us yet. I think they are targeting kid-friendly fandoms first, like Pokemon. Just my guess...

I know for sure that Harry Potter and Glee got hit. Not surprising since they're two of the biggest fandoms on the site.

I haven't heard of any Dragon Age fics being removed, but if you read through their new blog, there are plenty of people in favor of the purge, and determined to continue reporting until their fandoms are finally "clean."

And that's why I'm slowly but surely migrating my stuff to AO3. Plus, I can keep my fanfic and my fanart in one place there, and I can add my illustrations to the stories...

Honestly, once the hammer falls on the DA fandom, most of my stuff will be nixed - I've got only two up that are relatively clean...
