Summary: Unlikely hero Maggie Amell attempts to rebuild the Grey Wardens and deal with continuing threats from the darkspawn, while trying to fit into a world that's a far cry from the tower. All this while the Chantry seems to wait around every corner, eager to remind her and Anders just what they think of mages who manage to escape Circle control.
In this chapter:  A surprise at the Circle of Magi, grumpy old men Greagoir and Irving don't see eye to eye, and Maggie finds her wardens act a bit too much like her for comfort. 
( Now this is the problem with letting the lunatics run the asylum... )

Hey everybody, I heard about ya'all over on FanFic (where I publish under the same pen name) from scarylady, who kindly sent me an invite code.

I've been a gamer for a long time, but DA is the first game that's ever inspired me to write fanfic. I've written a fair amount of original work, but DA is my first attempt at fanfic. So far, it's been a blast to write in Bioware's universe.  (which I don't own, dang it)
I love digging into characters to find out what makes them tick. So, of course, I love backstory. Of which we get only tantalizing snippets in the game.

Favorite character, Zevran, hands down. I think he's easily the most complex, and for me, the most interesting.

I did have a question about the series tags. Is that something the mods set up? And how does that work? I've got a couple of series going on FanFic, which I'd also like to post here, as well.

Okay, seriously, true story. My husband and I were out shopping at Wal-Mart on Sunday because he needed socks. As we wander into the socks and underwear section, men's I should point out, he says "Hey check it out. Dragon Age Origins boxer shorts", although his tone was a titch snarky because he's jealous. DA:Boxers. Did you know about this? What else do they sell?

I immediately had to check to see if my favourite assassin was printed on any of them, and then found myself asking why Bioware would make men's boxers with Zev printed on them. If they did, is Wal-Mart is progressive enough to sell them? All the same, I was disappointed to see that they were all Morrigan boxers. *Smirks*
