This is an old pic I did back for a challenge over at SiB. The challenge was called "Blanket Scenerio" and involved two characters, a very cold night, a cabin, and one small blanket.
At first I had an amusing idea involving Zevran and Oghren, but that fell through. Then I had a funny one about Zevran, Wynne, and her magical bosom, but that too fell through. Finally, it hit me: OMFG MORRIGAN/DOG BFF-STYLE! YES.
Dog has a puppy-crush on the sneaky witch-thief. You know it's true. Plus, LOOK AT HIM. He'd be the bestest hot water bottle ever on a cold night. *snuggles*

Hello, lovelies! Am headed off to work, but wanted to run a question by you all that has been stumping Mr. Shimmy and I. Well, I guess it's a tier of questions that starts with:
1) Where do Templar abilities come from?- Alistair says they can be considered magical abilities, but they only work on mages. Are they actually magical? Mr. Shimmy thought you needed lyrium to unlock them, but Alistair learned them without ever being given lyrium, so there's that theory.
2) Does this mean some people just can't learn the talents?- I get the feeling that meaty boys and girls handed over to the Chantry are shunted into the Templar slot. Are they meaty boys and girls with a special talent? Is there canon to help with this?
3) If everyone can, where does this magical suppression power come from? Is it the same sort of magic as what mages use, or some sort of opposite polarity? In other universes, this would be considered divine-type magic, I think, but since the Maker is absent.... what's the Templar excuse?
4) Can mages learn Templar talents? :D
Tell us what you think, if you have a factoid that might clarify the discussion, or post a Templar/Ability-related question of your own. Have fun!

Being stuck in traffic makes you think about the oddest things, so here's a question for you guys:
Who is a (male or female) character in Dragon Age, Origins, Awakenings, or the DLC that you're ashamed to have the hots for? I'll put myself on the chopping block and give you two.
( screencap the first )
( screencap the second )
...I tried to think of a guy and a girl, but I would openly admit to wanting any girl worth naming. You're more than welcome to test me on this statement, too, to see if there's anyone I've forgotten about.
Oh yeah. I'm admitting it. So come on, lovelies. Hit me with your best shot.

In a comment on a previous post, the lovely and talented
twist_shimmy said, I would be interested to hear your reasoning why Fiona is Alistair's mother. I've not met someone who could give me a convincing argument yet.
The short answer: It's the only answer that makes sense given The Calling.
( Extreme verbosity ahead. Also spoilers for The Calling. )
