UPDATE: I meta-gamed. But it's not cheating too much, because all I had to do was change two reactions in the Merrill (fuck her) quest.

I don't think I'll have to replay all of Act III, but at least a significant portion of it, so I can get full rivalry and he'll stay with me.

I felt so strange that Cullen of all people was the voice of reason in the end. I wanted to kiss the mage-hating bastard for fighting with us. I knew there was a reason he was so pretty ;D

I have a quiet theory that seeing Meredith's.. issues work themselves out in her treatment of the mages may have helped him work out his trauma. In a 'I don't ever want to go down that way' kinda way.
