My Last 24 Hours (DA2 Spoilers)

To sum up my last 24 hours...

Goddamnit, Merrill!

...

Goddamnit, Anders!!!

...

Goddamnit, Fenris!!! D: D: D:

...

Goddamnit, Orsino!

...

GODDAMNIT, FENRIS!

...

[insert will to live being destroyed here]

...

Wait what Leliana?

...It's over o.o

Time to meta game so I can have an ending where I didn't have to kill Fenris. I know it's cheating, but I can't take it!

That was EXHAUSTING!

*****

UPDATE: I meta-gamed. But it's not cheating too much, because all I had to do was change two reactions in the Merrill (fuck her) quest.

So here's my new ending:

Goddamnit, Merrill!

...

Goddamnit, Anders!!!

...

Goddamnit, Fenris!!! D: D: D:

...

GOD BLESS YOU FENRIS! *tears of relief and joy*

...

Goddamnit, Orsino!

...

[insert will to live being restored here]

...

Dude I totally ship Leliana/Cassandra. Leliandra.

It's over! :D

Totally worth it.

Yeah. I spend a lot of time thinking about the nature of justice. I think the DA team have turned all of us into social theorists and philosophers whether we wanted to be or not!

They did! And it's one of the things I really love about DA2. For all it's soul-crushing, the game is incredibly thought-provoking.

Exactly. I really didn't expect to enjoy it as much as DAO. and I guess arguably I didn't enjoy it as much, it was a lot easier to be lighthearted about DAO even though it had some impressively tricky ethical twists too, though nothing I personally found as heartrending. But guh.

I really cannot wait for/imagine what DA3 will be like. Oh my lord. and it'll be years probably before it's out. AUGH.

I think Wesley sums up the differences rather well at the beginning of the game: "The 'spawn are clear in their intent, but a mage is always unknown."

For all the tricky decisions in DAO, there's no doubt that killing the Archdemon and ending the Blight is a good thing. And the questionable things a Warden might do could be -worth- it.

DA2 has no such clarity, and I found that intriguing.

I'm definitely looking forward to DA3! But yes, it will be forever!

Cullen for companion in DA3! *shifty eyes*

I hadn't connected that; yes, that's a good summary of it. More's the pity.

Heh, I could do without more Cullen personally. But it wouldn't surprise me, and who knows? I really didn't expect Anders to be as interesting as he turned out to be in DA2 (I wasn't a big fan of him in Awakenings). I'm sure Cullen could be more intriguing than I give him credit for being, too.
