Time to meta game so I can have an ending where I didn't have to kill Fenris. I know it's cheating, but I can't take it!

UPDATE: I meta-gamed. But it's not cheating too much, because all I had to do was change two reactions in the Merrill (fuck her) quest.

I agree with a comment a game: we can't beat this game, it beats us. Fenris fought against me too, though at least I wasn't in a romance with him. =(

And I'm coming to the end of my second playthrough which has been set up so that I'll side (albeit reluctantly) with the Templars and I just don't know if I can make myself do it! Gaaaaaaahhh!!!!!

Yeah, that's why I'm trying to find a way where I can meta game a bit and get Fenris to side with me without choosing the Templars in the end. I'm so close. I think if I redo one quest arc (Goddamnit, Merrill!) and try to give him the Sword of Mercy, I might be able to do it. We'll see!

Good luck; I was too middle-of-the-road my first playthrough with a couple characters, Fenris was at almost but not quite full rivalry and Merrill was at almost but not quite full friendship, so I missed out on key scenes with both and Fenris attacked me. =( Tried to go back and redo things but it would've required redoing *all* of act three, at least. I wasn't a Fenris fan at the time though he's grown on me now, but that was still hard. I want a do-over.
