UPDATE: I meta-gamed. But it's not cheating too much, because all I had to do was change two reactions in the Merrill (fuck her) quest.

Well I convinced him to spare his sister, but I don't remember what I did in the follow-up conversation. Probably not that. I can get 15 points for giving him that sword, and I'm sooo close. Do you think blaming Meredith would push me to the end?

Blaming Meredith gets you +10 rivalry, as does speaking up for the mages in "Best Served Cold". According to the wiki, if you allow Varania to live *and* question Fenris blaming magic, you get +20 rivalry.

He's kind of a git, but then, all of the LI's in this game are deeply fucked up.

Wait, the end of On the Loose is before Merrill for me. I might be able to get more rivalry with him if I handle stupid fucking Merrill differently. Will try that later. *sigh* For now, losing myself in a different PC XD
