I hate Bhelen, I hate Harrowmont, I hate Ruck. I especially hate Branka, and Hespith steals a chunk of my soul every time she turns away and doesn't let me put her out of her misery. I hate the carta, because they always die spread-eagled, facing my screen, and Jarvia has "plans" for my female Wardens. (My males were insulted that no plans were had for them.)

Then I gave in to peer pressure and made my Aeducan. Holy crap. She has more attitude than all of my other Wardens combined, and is a bigger schemer than Evie was. I ACTUALLY get to order the murder of other people! It's canon! :D

My Dalish occasionally narrows her eyes, and my Cousland always looked rather... startled. She managed sad a couple of times, too. But this Aeducan has me enamored with her disdain. I want her to go forth and kill people and also sleep with them and then make that FACE.

Though if I ever wrote a fic with her involved, I think she'd kill Gorim, and that makes me sad.

New motto: OMG AEDUCANS, FUCK THE CARTA.

My mages who don't betray Jowan feel pretty much the same way about him, but yeah, Duncan is the best thing to ever happen to a Brosca. For Brosca Duncan is better than the ancestors, every paragon, and an extra helping of nug for dinner all rolled into one.

Exactly. There are ways you can play the origin to make Duncan seem really mercenary and uncaring. Like when you're playing Aeducan and actually kill Trian and then meet up with him and announce YEAH I TOTALLY JUST KILLED MY BROTHER BUT THEY LEFT ME HERE TO DIE CAN I JOIN YOU SO I CAN KILL THE OTHER ONE? and he's just like "Wow. Uh. I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that and welcome you with open arms!" that's fishy.

Or if you're playing as a Tabris and you sell Shianni and try to get Soris hanged in your place and generally behave like a complete sociopath and he recruits you anyway, that's just flat-out evil on his part.

But not in the Brosca origin. He is like the greatest hero to ever walk the earth and birds appear every time he is near and <3 <3 <3
