I admit, the background on this is laaaaaaame.  I wanted it to look way more epic, but it just WOULDN'T do what I wanted it to!  So... yeah.  Haaaaa.

There ya go!  Hope you gals enjoy!  I admit I'm a HUGE horse freak, so the excuse to work on my horse anatomy was a good one.  Man the muses just BLIND SIDED me with this.  Here I was, all innocent and working on WIAWSNB... and then boom!  I swear I literally almost fell over.  Was weird.  ANYWAY... I promise I'll do more comic now!  BUT THIS WAS REALLY REALLY FUN AND I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS!

Things I Love About This:

1) God the composition with the movement and the focus on Alistair's sword.
2) The RAGE.
3) The background color and texture makes me really happy. :3 You say it's lame, but to me it nicely makes the characters and the horses stand out. :D

1) THIS IS TESNI'S RAGE-FACE PERSONIFIED. She is such a little bear and holy shit did you ever capture that. Gah. Nothing is ever going to happen to Alistair and Caerwyn while she can still twang that bowstring.
2) She is holding onto the horse with her knees. Feet aren't even in the stirrups. Girl has got some thighs to DIE for. Zev already knew, but now everyone else does, too.
3) The armor is beautiful and that is my favorite bow in the game so THANK YOU for using it. :D
4) The colors. @_@


Things That I Love About This:
1) Cielo Negro is ENORMOUS. :D I like how his legs are stockier than the other two, since he's holding a lot more weight.
2) Holy crap Alistair's face and hair and tattoos. Again, it's like you were in my head.
3) The perspective on the swoooooord. :D
4) His brother and sister have clearly turned him into a badass.
5) That armor becomes more gorgeous every time you draw it. Sick of it yet? <3

1) Little elf, big horse.
2) I love that he has to take a knife in his teeth to guide Miharel around. :D It's all covered in darkspawn blood and he doesn't care because HE IS A WARDEN DAMNIT.
3) I love how messy his short hair is. Between that and his tattoo, he's looking... more prickly than ever. It's awesome.
4) ...I want to pet Miharel.

First off YOUR ICON IS AMAZING AND I FEEL OHSOHAPPY NOW. Of course you have my permission, if you want to make icons out of any of my gift art, you don't need to ask. They're your gifts and you can do as you will after all! The credit is nice though <3

The bg is okay now that I look at it, lol. I envisioned something way more massive and epic, but I'm pretty sure it would have taken me WAAAAAYYYYY longer to complete. I picked the colors because they felt very tranquil and foresty, like Dalish!

Tesni is probably my favorite out of all of these to be honest. Her face cooperated SO WELL. Plus her tattoo came out amazing, which is a first for me. Although I will say that I like her horse the least of the three. She came out too cartoony. Ah well.

Alistair REALLY surprised me once I got color on him. Before hand his face was kind of 'meh', but now I am QUITE pleased. And possibly drooling. *slurps* His horse as well gave me a bit of trouble to get the markings right. I think I invented some new swears when I was doing that. Also, I am still learning how to do lightening... lol. I wasn't sure if you guys had certain enchants on weapons like I do, but I ALWAYS have Alistair and Lexie decked out in lightning glyphs. Plus... I wanted SHINIES. I can't take full credit on the sword perspective, my friend Sarah helped me XD I WILL THANK HER FOR YOU THOUGH. Also I don't think I will ever get tired of drawing the Warden Commander armor... I'm getting good at it! XD Sort of... lol.

Caerwyn didn't cooperate well. He looked way more badass in my head, plus I can't seem to draw mouths or things in them lol. Although I LOVE the way his horse came out. That made me smile. And YES ABOUT THE BLOOD IN THE MOUTH THING. That is exactly what I thought as well!

I also attempted to coordinate the horses' tack with the armor their riders are wearing. Most turned out well except for Caerwyns, his armor went too dark on me, which was weird.

I'm so glad you guys like these! They were a large learning experience, and I tried new things that I've never done before. Thank YOU for making such a good fic to spur ideas into my head like this! <33

I adore how huge Miharel is compared with Caerwyn, because that's exactly how it is in fic, v. how Tesni actually fits on Dorf'asha/Dorf'ash'len (there's an inconsistency with what I called them). And. and. and. The horses are soooo good! That's not to say that the people aren't, but damn the action and movement with their equine friends. Caerwyn is ecstatic about his hooved friends being in the spotlight.

And and and and the knife in the teeeeth! And Tesni and the bow and the steering with her legs and Alistair's haaair and ohgod I can't give you any useful feedback right now XD

Haaaa I thought you'd get a kick out of the knife in the teeth, I felt it was such a Caerwyn move. Tesni's bow was really hard to get right, so I'm glad it looks good, and Alistair's hair looks SO MUCH better than it did in the preliminary sketch... lol... just... lol.

The shading is gorgeous. And Tesni's horse (I am so bad with remembering names D8) looks almost exactly like one I used to ride in high school. Alistair's is so pretty - the markings look very natural! And you shaded a BLACK HORSE PERFECTLY. Guh, that was something that always thwarted me when I used to doodle.

The whole thing is just fantastic. <3

Oh lordy, as soon as I learned he was an ALL BLACK horse I mentally yelled "...fuck." Shading an all black horse is almost as bad as trying to shade an all white one. SO DIFFICULT. I actually didn't use black as a base, which helped. I used a really dark charcoal gray color. It worked out quite nicely, and I'm very pleased with his coloring ^_^

And Alistair IS pretty isn't he? Man that threw me for a loop, because in his sketch/lineart phase, he looked awful. I kept telling myself "most of his detailing is in color... REMEMBER THAT", and I was pleased when I finally believed myself lol.

Tesni's horse reminds me of my pony I had when I was younger, although he was a Leopard Appaloosa, not a dapple. SPECKLES ARE FUN!

I forgot to add - Alistair's horse's coat is amazing - the way the black goes into the white is very natural - I've got a black and white cat with similar markings and the white running into the black and vice versa is spot on!

Thank you! Yeah the detail nearly made me fall over dead, but it was well worth it I think! Then again I'm a glutton for punishment I think, so there you go XD
