*updates posted in the last 10 hours not visible
*can't submit reviews

Edit: And then it was up... and down again.  Glorious!
So... Does anyone need an Archive of Our Own invite?  I've got ten.  I literally hit "request invites" and gave "to woo people in the DA fandom away from ffnet" as my reason... and about two hours later ten shiny new codes were dropped into my account.  Drop me a PM with your email address.

If FF aren't careful, they'll lose their massive audience. I'm amazed that the Big Boys (HP, Twilight, etc) haven't sodded off and set up their own sites by now, given the service probs on FF.

There are some HP-only sites, I think.

But... I suspect it boils down to the same reason all of us stay on ffnet instead of taking our toys to ao3 completely. That sweet sweet stat bar. If AO3 could get me a thousand hits a day I'd drop ffnet like it just admitted to having a social disease.

Yep, FF is just too well established. I can't see how to get the thousands of readers to jump ship, when they aren't the ones being adversely affected. Especially on a little fandom like ours, where we share a lot of our readers with other fandoms.

Yes, exactly. Although I'm kind of surprised by how much bigger the DA fandom has become in the last year. The last glitch only impacted "larger" fandoms, and we somehow fit the bill.

I agree. But I also think we should be making an effort to promote the hell out of AO3 (the stats will get there, eventually) because the project is SOO worth supporting.
