Lenna and I were recently lamenting that there aren't any nice short hair guy mods. Long hair is awesome, but some of our dudes need a more utilitarian look, you know?
I don't like most of the long hair mods. Some are fantastic, but a lot of them just look like they're kind of hovering over the character's head, not actually growing out of it. Maybe I'm getting practical in my old age but it also seems like ass-length hair just gives the darkspawn a nice handle to grab you by.
I really like this one, though. I've been seeing it in screencaps and icons and been painfully jealous of the people beta-ing it. It's making me tempted to make a Maggie 2.0.
I gave one of my Suranas a ponytail as long as he was once. I played through the origin, realized there was no way he'd be able to hold that much hair UP, and deleted him.
There's an alternate Sigrun mod that I love, except for the hair. Is someone in the Legion really going to have a huge poofy cheerleader ponytail? How does she get her helm on with that thing?
Download new base faces, it makes things a thousand times easier if you have a decent bone structure to start with and you just want to tweak the features a bit. Some of those defaults the game ships with are truly horrifying.
I have this one, which has new default females of all races and human males, and this one which adds a more of all those, plus a few elf and dwarf males.
You'll need to run the chargenmorph compiler, but otherwise it's just as simple as popping something in the override folder.
Mochen from BSN does some really amazing work. The only downside is that most of the faces use a bunch of other mods for hair, eyes, tattoos, etc., so you'd need to be fairly comfortable with addons to make sure they show up properly in your game. The readme included does an excellent job of letting you know which addons you'll need for each face though.
The reason I've never made a human male is that it would take me an hour or more to get a face that wasn't oddly lumpy or massively chintastic. Even the elven men take work for me to make tolerable.
yep! (I don't think there's anything in the game you CAN'T change, really). But that's a super-easy fix. Just make sure to run this after so everything plays nice.
I just made these not too long ago. I got bored- REALLY bored- and made some of my OCs in the character creator. Why yes, I am unemployed, why do you ask? (new job monday woo!)
