Lore consistency question!

Having waited until now to play a f!Aeducan, I hadn't thought about this before.

WHY is f!Aeducan treated as an Aeducan?  She should be seen through the lens of her MOTHER'S lineage, right?  Can we even find out what that was?

Hahaha, that's a good point. I assume she wasn't a casteless. Maybe when two noble houses go at it, they do an actual merge? Otherwise you'd have all the sons in one house named [x] and all the daughters named [y] and that seems like it would muddy up the whole House Pride(tm) thing.

Logically, if she's a princess, her mother was a high-ranking noble was was married to her father, not a noble hunter. I think you get your *caste* from your same sex parent, but it makes sense to me the children of the same caste would go to the father's house. Or her mother was a closely related Aeducan cousin. DA lore seems to have a dim view of cousin-marriage, though, so I go with the idea that her mother was a Dace or a Helmi or something similar, I high ranked noble.

I tend to assume that my F!Aeducan has a different mother, because she's the only dark-skinned one out of the family.

In the DC origin Rica says "If I could...give one of them a son, the whole house would celebrate. And we'd all be raised up to noble caste to join the family."
So it is possible she is the daughter of a noble hunter, if said noble-hunter had already given the king Trian and been elevated to join house Aeducan as a result.

Gorim makes it clear you are eligible for the throne after you meet your older brothers in the Origin, that the Council absolutely think you're the nug's whiskers *and* gives examples of female rulers in similar situations. It's very tidily explained away.
