Been a while since we've had some of these, and a lot of fantastic mods have come out in the meantime.
So... let's share our mod lists.

And, to mix it up a bit, add one or two mods you WISH you could get (if only they existed).

So here's my mod list... I'm kind of an addict, I admit it. I have tons of them.

feminized armor (I love this mod so much, heavy and massive armor looks a thousand times better on female characters with it)
JB Textures (just a better texture pack. Hey, I got a new computer, I'm going to take advantage of it!)

It is actually VERY easy to combine multiple mods that change the character generator. Just get this and it will do the work of combining the CharGenMorph files for you.

something that will change the default tower of ishal redshirts to rogue and warrior for a mage or mage and rogue for a warrior, so you can have someone in the party who lockpicks
Something to give you a random chance of returning to find Redcliffe destroyed by the demon if you go to the tower for help. Since really, bugging off for days should have CONSEQUENCES.

Hells lady, I'm surprised your computer doesn't break as soon as you start it up :). I have .. one mod installed. ONE. And I'm getting kind of sick of it, actually, so I think I'm going to take it out again (improved romance scenes for Alistair - there's only so many times I can be arsed watching pixel porn.

Heh, my computer's all of two months old. It can handle way more than what Dragon Age throws at it. Really, DA is a pretty low-resource game at its core. Especially if you get mutator and turn off the sustained effects. I was running it on a six year old P4 before I upgraded. Of course, now I can run it at a resolution worth looking at. ;)

You know,

telesilla and I have the same systems that are supposedly designed for gaming, and are about 2 years old. We can both play Aion, and City of Heroes on Ultra Mode, but we can't play DA on anything but the lowest setting, even without mods. I can't wait until we get our new machines on Wednesday.

Two years? That seems crazy. In my mind that's practically new! But then I usually don't replace a desktop until smoke shoots from the top.
Granted, the site said I COULDN'T run it, but it worked with the graphics turned down very low. Maybe because my video card was not-horrible (nvidia 8600)? I only had 1gb of ram, too.

We're mostly replacing them because they've both got power issues, but for gaming use, we've found that we have to replace the laptops ever 2-3 years.

This is true. Although it makes getting screenshots to post on BSN a challenge. "oops, bit of a hard on in that one, better crop it out of frame. Hey, there's a nipple, better edit that out, too."

Also, because the underwear they put on the guys makes me snicker. But then, I'm a boxers kind of gal.
that and really... strapless bras? We're supposed to think these gals are fighting monsters in strapless freaking bras? What, because of Ferelden's thriving elastic industry?

So that's what happened to all the horses in Ferelden...

It's a grotesque and elegant answer to the mystery! (It also explains why they keep their smalls on during sex. Ever tried peeling a glued-on bra back off?)

You know, my rig is... two years old now? I built it to be able to run a modded TES:Oblivion without breaking a sweat, and it handles DA like a charm, too.

I got really sick of the pixel porn, too. That, and the clipping. XD OHAI ZEV YOUR HAND IS IN MY BOOBS. OW.

New computer arriving this week, so maybe I'll be able to play Mass Effect as well as put a few mods into DA. I do want the no helmet hack - how DID they manage to make all the helms in DA suck so badly? And I want to experiment with turning Zev into Anders because, hey, pixel porn would be worth it if it involved Anders.

But then there's this whole Christmas thing.. knowing me I'll never get around to it :).

There is ONE awesome helmet in the game, and it is useless after like... level four.

Oh, yes, naked barbarian helms! I actually have Alim and Anders run around without one because I think they're both too pretty for them. I'm not playing on Nightmare so they don't die.

One of my friends plays as a rogue NAKED the whole time cos he says with high dex it actually hurts you to wear any armour at all, so why bother.

Faolan carried that damned helmet in her inventory until she was level eighteen and wears it instead of a cowl now.

It's perfect for a mage, you see. I play on hard and so far haven't died, so. XD

(I NEVER give Anders a helmet.)

I don't think you could unless you got one of the mods to turn zevran into a human. The elf and human heads are different bases, they can't really be swapped out.
But... the pixel porn would probably be kind of off since it's made with a male elf's proportions in mind, a human wouldn't line up the same way.

Yukidama sent me instructions on how to swap them... I've got them somewhere still... and the proportions are all correct.

The reason I want to put Anders in Zev's place is because I think the dialogue and expressions on Zev are far better for Anders than Alistair's dialogue and expressions. I also wanted it because I was doing Aedan's playthrough as compensation for giving Al the chop. It's going to be difficult to have THAT MAN hanging around camp without some sort of compensation.
