I need ideas for creative uses of magic in sex. The only things I can think of are lightning (meh) and temperature play. Not quite creative enough for me. I was wondering whether Velanna's root spell is corruptible, but I also thought I'd solicit the advice of the community. What sort of interesting sex magic have you seen in fics? What did you never find but wish you could?

Skimming through the list of spells isn't proving too enlightening, I must say.

A rejuvenating spell to prep for orgasm or to recover from one orgasm in time to experience another is one of the more interesting ones I've seen.

All the elemental spells can be used - think cold spells to chill things down and make different parts tingle, fire spells to heat things up, lightning obviously, earth is a bit difficult but I'm sure you can find something to use out of stonefist (ow) or petrify (maybe in a dubcon situation?). Plus of course there's grease under summoning :P The thing is to use fine manipulation of the element, not the wholesale destruction you see in game.

All the healing, enhancement and glyph spells would have applications as well - member flagging? Rejuvenate! Unwilling partner? Glyph of paralysis! - need to bang quickly? Haste! etc etc.

Healing spells used in the right places in the right ways could be interesting, if you take a little creative liberty with the use of the spell. ;) Sort of like what i_paint_the_sky was talking about.

If you were getting kinky, also, you could combine a spell with, say, bindings or blades or whatever kink you're writing of. Painsluts, or bondage, or whatnot. I'd use elemental ones, if it were me, but there's other combinations depending on how hardcore or softcore you want to go.

I used magic to um delay orgasm, also to have all sinsations replay at once,to have people switch with the other person what they were feeling. It was definitely magic forbidden bythe chantry. Oh yes, there was also a pleasure bolt that went directly to the net hers and results in a quick finish.

Magic like shapeshifting is forbidden too, not just blood magic.

Anders scoffed. "Do you even know what to do? You've only been here a couple of years by your account. How did you pick it up already?" He took a bite of his apple.

"Wynne taught me the basics." I was smug; I knew what mages could do in bed. Ha!I'm not the noob you think I am, Anders. I've been around the block a time or twelve.

Anders exploded with laughter; half-chewed apple shrapnel went flying across the table and splattered me. "Wynne taught you, did she?"

I wiped the apple off my face. "Well, she didn't demonstrate, she just described it. I practiced... a lot. It was so I could learn better control because of my strange reaction to lyrium." I glared at him. "You're not thinking she and I were... Do not think it!"

Anders snorted. "Right. She taught you." Amused sarcasm dripped from his voice. "Did she teach you the denial clamp? I'm sure you've never experienced a full plexus pleasure loop or a Magnus block, or, for those times you want to be done quickly, a Finneger bolt."

Shit! What? Wait...that last one. "Ha! You're wrong. Bendrick used the bolt, I think."

"But you don't know how?" he asked, needling me.

I shook my head. "Wynne told me sex-magic was just using very tiny fire, ice and lightning spells."

Anders snickered. I wanted to wipe the smug expression off his face, but not before I learned those spells. "Of course she didn't teach you those. She hasn't had her robes thrown over her head in thirty years. She probably never learned them."

"What's a Magnus block?" I just had to know. It all sounded very interesting.

He smiled smugly. "A Magnus block is magical nerve block. You can do all sorts of things to someone and they won't feel any pleasure at all..."

"That seems like it sort of defeats the purpose of having sex in the first place. Well, if you don't count procreation."

"Let me finish. They don't feel anything until you remove the block, and then they feel it as if it were all happening at once."

My mouth dropped. "Maker..." I could just imagine something like that in Zevran's hands. I think, if there was a god, he had been wise in not allowing my assassin to have magical powers.

Anders munched happily at his apple and watched my expression.

"And the denial clamp?" I asked, my curiosity afire.

"When you're not ready for your lover to climax, it leaves them hanging right at the edge."

I had to take a sip of my tea to counteract the sudden dryness of my mouth. I thought of Zevran again and the torture he would wreak with that. Dear, sweet god almighty, he would probably make me go a whole day like that. Ah, but the power of denial could be mine. My internal laugh was an evil one.

"That other one? The loop?"

"Oh, the plexus pleasure loop? It is a connection between two mages where you each experience what the other is feeling, in addition to what you're feeling. There's a variation on that where you don't experience what you're feeling, but only what the other person feels. It's almost like switching bodies. That's very advanced, though, since you still control your body, but the other person feels with your fingers, sees with your eyes. It's very confusing and usually leads to someone getting hurt."

Maker's ass, send me to the tower now! Why isn't there ever a templar around when you need one? "And you wanted to leave the tower? Remind me why."

Anders snickered at me. "One rarely gets the opportunity to even practice these things. Perhaps a few stolen moments behind a book case in the library, or you might be able to bribe your roommate not to turn you into the templars. These magics were banned by the Chantry, of course. They hate the idea of mages actually having fun."

My mind was swirling with possibilities. "What happens if you combine a denial clamp and a Magnus block?"

He chuckled softly. "You'll just have to try it sometime." He finished off his apple and cheese. "Well, I'm off to bed." He smirked at me. "If this Wolf left you with the pox, I can cure that too."

I was still thinking about the Magnus block and hardly heard him leaving. "G'night," I mumbled. I quickly finished my snack and went upstairs.

If healing spells heal, what do they do to a healthy person? Make them extra healthy and ready to celebrate it, perhaps? ;) Alternately, if you're already healthy, it might just drive sensitivity sky-high.

Entropy spells are always good if you want to make things kinky, but don't want to go for blood magic.

If you do want to go for blood magic, I've seen some interesting uses of blood control, though that does tend to make things super creepy, super quick.

I suppose hex of torment would make for interesting spanking sessions. Or sleep, but I admit that I'm not quite up for somnophilia. Yet?

Dulsanaya, who uses her magics constantly and any situation, in sex uses healing to reflect what she is feeling, to manipulate the nervous system, make the skin feel things that aren't there, mental magics are good when combined with this, so that folks might hear the crackle of a fire when there isn't one or the kiss of an ocean breeze. At one point she switches perceptions with the person she's with - her major limitation being touch, of course.

I've seen, if not used in my own work, a lot of the ideas mentioned below... if you are talking Templars and mages together, I have seen a few pieces that employ creative use of mana draining and 'gentle' smiting to interesting effect too *cackle*.

Also, a personal favorite for quick interludes in public places is a silence spell lol.

Sadly I never write mage/templar pairings. Well, not sadly for me, but some people are disappointed.

I'm rather late to this discussion, but I think we can do a little better if we put our minds to it.

Fireplay: Ghosting fire (actual fire, not just heat) over skin is classic fireplay and would work well with a strictly controlled Flamy Hand thingy spell.

Firewhips: ditto as above... but with whips!

Electrics: Even though lightning is the most used spell set for sex, I think it's still underused. Secondary contact means that you could stick a charged item in someone's hand and then any number of people could touch their skin and create sparks at the same time. Also try using chains for bondage and THEN applying lightning ;)

Bloodplay: Yeah I know, blood magic control isn't sexy. But blood burning would be (for a serious masochistic). Very shallow cuts could be made to sting like holy fury with blood magic.
