Black Black Heart, why would you offer more?
Black Black Heart -- kinkmeme (anon) // AO3 (not anon)
(non-smut)
Fenris / Zevran / Tannusen / Orsino
The more things change, the more they stay the same. The Warden has ever picked up those who were thrown away.
NA -- some flashback micro-smut, and a little dirty talk if you squint

Also, can I just say how excite I am at the prospect of Grey Warden Orsino, now that it's out there in fic instead of only in my head?
I just can't even express it.

Why am I suddenly thinking of the Orlesian Grey Wardens? My mind is a weird place.

And I don't know, he only goes bugfuck in the mage ending because EA demanded to have both boss-fights, no matter what the player did. Everything else he did up to that point was about protecting his fellow Circle mages, most of which didn't do anything wrong. He couldn't even out blood mages he knew about, for fear of Meredith doing exactly what she did when Anders pulled his stunt.
He's a natural guardian type. So... now he'll get to protect all the non-Wardens from the darkspawn. And whatever other horrible things the Wardens get tangled up with.
That's my logic, anyway! I don't know how much he'll be with the group, since I don't know if I can handle all four of them very well, but at worst he'll be at the Keep being all silver fox bros with Varel.

I really liked Orsino in most of the game, but I couldn't get my head around why he was protecting that creepy guy who collected women's body parts, and I was so terribly disappointed when he turned abomination in the endgame. On the other hand, I pretty much hate everything about Act III and especially the endgame, so I guess that colors my entire perception of him. (I was crying so hard playing it, from when the Chantry went boom and onwards.)
You are probably right. Given the chance to be who himself, and not forced to lie and hide and play a losing game of power with Meredith, I think Orsino will do good. He will just need to get some emotional distance from the clusterfuck in Kirkwall, and from nearly turning abomination. I can imagine that particular decision is not an easy one to face, looking back.

I've never beaten DA2. I can't stand Act III at all.
I've watched the cutscenes and read what all goes on, but every time one of my games gets to Act III I end up noodling around for a few quests and then I stop playing.
All the more reason I have no qualms with having Tannu go skipping through, uprooting companions and NPCs as he goes and dragging them back to Ferelden where the real plots happen. :D
...And yeah, he's kind of broken right now, I think. Especially since Zev interrupted him mid suicide attempt. But Tannu once tried to carve his own heart out (Edit: And of course, Zev once tried suicide-by-Warden), so I think he's in good company.

I'm looking forward to reading about it! Or whatever other shenanigans they come up with. :)
(And with that I need to go and be a grown-up and do useful stuff for a while. Grocery shopping with two kids, could get interesting...)
