This is a play-by-post roleplay based on the BioWare game, Dragon Age, most specifically revolving around the plot of Dragon Age 2. It follows Hawke's adventures through Kirkwall as he rises to champion, taking place right after the Hawkes have reached Kirkwall. Both original and canon characters are accepted. These characters will have their own impact upon the plot and may even change its course.

We currently have a few minor canon characters left, and we love OC's. I'm one of your friendly moderators, and everyone's favorite Knight Commander. Feel free to ask any questions. We're an amazingly fun group, the canon characters are incredibly well played, and for only having been open a week or so, we're steamrolling along. So come and take a peek, or hop in the IRC and chat with us. We'd love to have you!

I have to applaud you on your rules. They're strict but *not* restrictive. Great job!! From what I peaked your group seems far more fun.
Theres another online rpg for Dragon Age that is very Stalinist with their rules that it stifles creativity. I applied for it and had a horrible experience so I will peak to get a feel for it awhile before I get up the courage to apply. :)

we're really easy going, and since there are a LOT of grey areas and unexplored lore, we give a lot of wriggle room =)

Oh, and if you need more convincing, you can play Qunari, (we actually could use some more!) as well as mabari =3

Thanks, I worked hard on making them as less restrictive as possible. Roleplaying is, after all, meant to be fun, and rules are there to keep it so, not to make it less so. We have many members who are either new to forum roleplay or Dragon Age roleplay, and all of our members have had a positive experience so far.

We do have a ban on apostate mages, but only because there were so many of them. Ironically, we don't have many elves, canons aside. Never seen that happen on an RP site.

I think I know of the RP that you spoke of; if so, a long time ago, I had joined that site, and I, too, had a terrible experience. It was more of that I felt like I didn't belong.

I hope you do decide to join. I'll be on the IRC later today if you have any questions, and even if I'm not there, I'm sure one of the other staff members will be there to help. ^_^

I really like what I am reading. I think I might give it a whirl after the holidays.

The atmosphere seems much more relaxed.

And I think we are talking about the same rpg. I won't name it but I felt the SAME way.
