My god, the expressions are so heart-wrenching here. Alistair's is great, but it's actually Zevran's that pulled at me the most. He looks so lost and distraught, which is so different than what we normally see in him. So very perfect for the moment.
I also adore the small, single light source in the candle. Great work!
I could be mistaken, but I think what DR was trying to convey with Zevran was a different prayer posture, the sort that might be seen in non-Western cultures, to kind of give a contrast between Alistair and Zevran as being Ferelden and Antivan.
It's a very cool touch. I like that you used the prayer posture we see in-game for Alistair, also, as opposed to any sort of "real world" genuflection.
Huh, I guess that thought didn't even cross my mind, eh heh. I guess I just got that mood from the writing, but maybe I just misinterpreted that too. I sorta fail in that department XD I suppose 'distraught' might be the wrong word too... more worried? Upset? Not quite so much as Alistair, but still so. Either way, it's beautiful and very emotional, and I rarely get misty-eyed at art anymore, so it certainly served it's purpose!
That worry is definitely there around the eyes, I think. Which is another amazing touch on DR's part. So much of Zevran's face can't be seen, covered as it is by his hands, but there's that tiny bit of wrinkling at the corner of his eye and the contour of his brow that says so very much.

You captured the emotions here perfectly. Well done, as always. :)

There's been a rather special and intriguing request in the comments for the chapter. You should check it out. :D

I could be mistaken, though.

Also, the in-game prayer posture is a perfectly "normal" prayer posture, except when used IRL, it's usually when praying outdoors.
