Interesting! I've seen Anders do that, but didn't realize it was tied to position in the party, not character. Kind of strange, though. Not wanting to see mages killed is in character for Anders, and it makes sense for him to smile. I can't see Fenris much caring if they live or die.
I have seen all 3 mages smile at that dialog (Anders, Merrill, and Bethany). I assumed that only the mage characters would smile at that point. Fenris smiling seems really....odd.
