A funny thing happened today...

So, I was sat in the cinema this afternoon, waiting out the adverts before Source Code began, and suddenly Riordan starts talking to me.  I was too taken aback to absorb what game he was selling.  It seems that, just like the small circle of actors who always pop up in sci-fi series, there's a bunch of voice actors who will pop up in games.

But in the cinema?  Last thing I was expecting.

Isn't that the weirdest thing sometimes? I was playing Rift the other day and I swear to the Maker Niall started talking to me. I was like "WTF?" Either it was his same voice actor or someone who sounded VERY similar!

My VA hearing has gone up ten fold since I started paying attention during the Mass Effect 2 release. I can reliably pick out actors and it's really weird. They don't even need to be video game ones.

Marc Harmond (Gibbs from NCIS) was Superman in a Justice League movie.

The husband was playing Uncharted 2 a while back and I'm sitting at the PC playing ME2, and suddenly Alistair and Morrigan are talking behind me and ... what the... OH HAI! hehe.

Plus it's fun to try and spot all the different B characters/NPCs folks do in the same game. Sebastian's VA does two other NPCs (Seneschal Brann and Fenarel) and listening to Samson, the Ex Templer, I was like 'Oh hai Fenris VA' *glom*

Certain VAs are kind of EVERYWHERE though. Especially the more 'versatile' ones. Steve Blum, for example.

Sadly most of my friends and family fail to notice the significance lol.

Top quality. Guardian-online gave it five stars which is why I went, and I have to say it was merited. They played with AU's and quantum and their logic was actually consistent. I find this almost unheard of.

Awesome! I am loath to ask about Sucker Punch. It might look like mindless fun, but I don't want to end up like the Seneshal in Anders' clinic with a horrible itch.

The dreadful reviews meant that I allowed my husband to go see the pretty girlies on his own. He tells me, however, that there was more plot than he was expecting. Take from that what you will.
