DUH... DLC illiterate

OK, stupid DA2 question. I installed the Black Emporium DLC, but can't find the store anywhere. Where is it?

Go to your uncle's house in Lowtown and check the writing desk. You'll have a letter there inviting you to the store. Once you read it and select "accept" it'll show up as a new map location you can quicktravel to.

It's a little dot under Anders' clinic on your map.

OK, what did I do wrong? It's not on the map nor is it listed at the writing desk at Gamlen's house. When I look under the DLC option on the main page, it is listed with a checkmark beside it.

Have you installed it? I had trouble realising you have to download it, then install it, it's not an automatic thing. Maybe reload the game? I don't have a screenshot of the map, but I'll get one and show it to you in a bit.

I've installed it twice. I have no idea why it isn't working. Weird. Do you only get access after you get so far in the game?

No, as soon as you have free access to the city you should get the letter. Maybe give it a bit? Get Varric and see if it shows then?
Do you have other letters at home. For me it came at the same time as half a dozen others.

No it's there from the get go, as soon as you can go to the map for kirkwall.

Check your dlc's list to make sure it's installed?
