I'm jamz, a long-time lurker of the LJ kmeme who is finally emerging from reclusive lurkdom to join in on all the fun. I'm a grad student in California, studying sociology and feminist studies, and attempting to churn out a MA thesis so I can move on to my dissertation. In my off-time, I scribble stories that cannot be read by children, but because I am a theory-head, I am likely to overthink my porn. I haven't written anything DA:O specific just yet, but I've had a few ideas swirling around that I've been dying to get onto paper, so I'm hopefully I can get into gear! It'll be a good break from the thesis, at any rate.

In no particular order, I am quite fond of cheese, shoes, fancy-girl cocktails, electronic music, and, of course, DA:O and video games in general. Excited to be here!

No, Jelly and Jell-O are two different things.

Jelly is fruit preserves, usually sweetened. Spread on bread or toast or English muffins crumpets or added to peanut butter to make a nummy sammich.

Jello-O is that semi-solid gelatinous stuff that wriggles and bounces and sticks to walls. Also can be mixed with booze and so that booze may be consumed, rather than imbibed.

Okay, Food Network nerd here:
Jell-O is a name brand like Kleenex. It's actually more correct to call it flavo(u)red gelatin.
Jelly is made just with the juice of the fruit and you have to add pectin. Jam is made with the whole fruit and has a naturally occurring release of pectin.
We call jelly "jelly", b/c who the hell wants to eat peccy? Mmm... I've gots me a peccy sammich. OM NOM NOM

Oh, I often feel the same way!

I see a nifty prompt that speaks to me and I'm all over it.

It hits 5,000 words and I've barely managed to begin the set-up, at which point I'm thinking, "Hoshi' here we go again."

Then it's 10,000 words and the sexin's haven't even begun. "Fuuuuuucck!"

Next thing I know it's 20,000 words and the sex is FINALLY winding down and now I'm flailing around for a non-corny denouement that unexpectedly turns wistful and/or poignant.
