If you rename it and add a line to the chargenmorph file (can be edited in notepad) it'll just add to the existing ones at the end. The very first section is presets for the heads. Human males, females, dwarf males, and then dwarf females. Elven males come after that. {heads} headers for humans, dwarves... long lists of presets. {elf male} {resource name="new_elf_preset.mop" /} (you can name it whatever you want, though. Just so long as it ends in .mop and replace the { and } with normal < and > style brackets)
And that's it. Just stick the head in your override folder. I've taken to manually editing the presets just so I can take out ones from big batches I know I'll never use.
If someone makes a preset they can take the basic vanilla chargenmorph file and add a line for their head, and then anyone with the compiler can get them without doing the editing themselves.
