Fenris/Anders - I think the logic might be that we despise what we want/wish we were, and possibly finding some sort of...peace...with a person who technically embodies all that you hate? I think? Or some serious love-hate or power struggle stuff (real scientific term 'stuff' is, huh?). I dunno...
