Seasonal Prompt - Stages of Life WINNERS

We had a post asking about this, so....

MANY apologies for the delays in this. The votes were cast and results were in a while ago, but poor Shimmy has had a hand death that necessitates her becoming a cyborg, so prizes have been delayed. The prizes will be coming anon, but we'll let you know who the winners are now so you can rub your hands in gleeful anticipation of your coming goodies!

First up, the gorgeous [personal profile] sealcat submitted the only art entry for the prompt. We didn't post it in time because it came in after I'd correlated all the others (and I stupidly didn't check the email for it), but considering it's in a class of it's own, Sealcat, Shimmy and the rest of us are awarding you a special prize. Here it is:

For fic, we decided to award three prizes, first prize, highly commended, and biggest tear-jerker.

FIRST PLACE went to the gorgeous [personal profile] jessicajones  for her fic A Dark Overture - A fantastic take on the legend of Garahel. I think everyone was taken aback by how rich and beautiful her characterisation was, as well as.. well, just magnificent use of language. Masterfully done.

HIGHLY COMMENDED went to the luscious [personal profile] valiasedai  for her fic Daughter - a DA2 Hawke fic, evocative and tear inducing and again, beautifully atmospheric. What is it with us and things that make us cry???

AND BIGGEST TEARJERKER went to the munchable [personal profile] what_ithacas_mean  for The Coldest Winter - an exploration of the stages of life for Kallian Tabris that had us all sobbing and nodding and going "YES SO THAT'S WHY!!!"

If you haven't read the fics, they're all still there at [personal profile] thedas_ficarchive , check them out!! Shimmy will update you all with prizes as soon as she is able.

Thank you all again for participating!
