That's an interesting point. I guess I'm lucky in not really having had any issues (that I'm aware of, anyway) with filching of my original fic, though I know a few people who have, and who managed to deal with it efficiently 'behind the scenes' so to speak. Never having been burned, maybe I'm too complacent.
