I think that may be a part of it... the DA2 life cycle is pretty much nearing its end. By the time DAO hit the final few DLC they were already working on DA2 and we had that to get excited over.
As for me, I am SUPER psyched for DA3. Really. What little I've read makes me think they're keeping the good combat and voiced hero of DA2 and bringing back the choice, variety, and complexity of DAO. And, you know, never doing repeating dungeons again since they will never live that shit down. I honestly do think DA3 has the potential to be the best of both worlds, and utterly awesome. And I CAN. NOT. WAIT.
