I was thinking that, but if Alistair had enough sense to be able to pull Tesni off the offending shem, he might have been able to hold Caerwyn back while Caerwyn probably did a huge amount of screaming and threatening until the man was taken out of his sight. Alistair's one of the only people who could hold him back, strength-wise.
